E3 2020 has officially been cancelled due to Coronavirus Concerns

Coronavirus certainly has caused unprecedented consequences on the overall world economy and E3 2020 is yet another example of a Global Expo being cancelled amidst health concerns caused due to the Coronavirus spread.

As the announcement reads,

"After careful consultation with our member companies regarding the health and safety of everyone in our industry – our fans, our employees, our exhibitors, and our longtime E3 partners – we have made the difficult decision to cancel E3 2020, scheduled for June 9-11 in Los Angeles.

Following increased and overwhelming concerns about the COVID-19 virus, we felt this was the best way to proceed during such an unprecedented global situation. "

However, not all hope is lost. E3 forum is exploring online options to showcase industry announcements and news in June 2020.

Well, this year's E3 would have been a special one considering a new console generation was expected to be unveiled in details at E3.

However, looking at the current overall health situation, we do agree, it is in the best of everyone's interest to stay safe and avoid massive gatherings.
